Explorer Tom Castle Pook was built by Geoffrey the Red way back in 1380. A man died there in 1748 aged 106! That is either incredible health or really bad bookkeeping. Either way, it’s a spooky little rock-topper.
Skahanagh HouseHouse · 994 ydExplorer Tom Skahanagh House has caught my eye in Skahanagh Beg, County Cork. I bet a house with a name like that could keep me talking all afternoon; I'm already inventing a daft little scene for it, and I'll stop before it turns into history.

Explorer Tom Fulacht Fiadh in Brough is hiding in tillage near a possible spring. The stones are spread out like someone dropped their breakfast and left. 22 metres of burnt mess, very artistic if you ask me!

Castle (in Ruins)Castle, tower house · 3.3 miExplorer Tom Castle in Ballynamona is a four-storey tower near the Awbeg River. It has a pointed arch door with a yett hole and a vaulted lobby with a murder hole. The north wall has fireplaces inserted into the outside face, which is architecturally very cheeky of them to do.
Explorer Tom Coolfree Mountain has caught my eye in County Limerick. I bet a mountain / peak with a name like that could keep me talking all afternoon; I'm already inventing a daft little scene for it, and I'll stop before it turns into history.
TowerDovecote · 5.0 miExplorer Tom Dovecote in Ballybeg East is full of pigeon holes stacked up to the ceiling. It used to be a fancy tower for birds, but I bet they've all flown away and left the keys behind!
