Detached three-bay two-storey house, built 1857, with conservatory to west gable, two-bay two-storey flat-roof addition to rear, built c.1960, latter with small lean-to attachments to east end and canted full-height bay to rear. Hipped slate roof to earlier block, with projecting eaves, rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls throughout. Mainly six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows, round-headed to stairs window in east elevation of earlier block and square-headed elsewhere, with limestone sills. Square-headed opening to west elevation of earlier block, set into recent gable portico, having timber door and overlight. Original doorway centrally placed in south wall, now window. Two-storey outbuilding to north-west with rubble stone walls and pitched corrugated-iron roof.
A modest yet well-designed mid-nineteenth-century house, built by a Mr Cornish. It retains its historic massing and form and much of its historic fabric such as sash windows and slate roof.
