St. Columbkilles Well is associated with St. Columba (Columbkille), a 6th-century Irish monk and saint known for founding monasteries in Ireland and Scotland. The well is traditionally believed to have healing properties, particularly for eye ailments, and may have been a site of pilgrimage and ritual cleansing.
