Spa well, surmounted by square-plan painted masonry superstructure, built c.1900. Superstructure has round arch to stepped base, topped by concrete cross. Now in use as holy well. Recent timber fence surrounds structure.

This structure is striking and highly visible. It is marked on the third edition Ordnance Survey map as a 'Chalybeate' well, one rich in iron salts, this type of spring being thought to have beneficial properties for health. The concrete cross on stepped base appears to be a later addition, in the tradition of contemporary religious practices. As such, it has social significance.
