Square-plan rubble sandstone lime kiln, built c.1820, set into bank to rear (east). Now disused. Rubble sandstone walls. Camber-arch opening with cut sandstone voussoirs to fire opening. Hole at top of kiln partially filled in.

Constructed with rubble stone, this disused lime kiln is an industrial feature of technical interest. Built into a bank, the kiln was constructed to supply lime for construction purposes. Its distinctive features remain intact and it makes a notable feature on the roadside. At the top is a depression which marks the opening into which limestone would have been placed. Lime kilns are notable structures of industrial interest. This example is significant as it represents the material culture and technology of previous generations within the area.
