Local tradition of a Mass Rock at SE of possible burial ground (LH006-047001-).
Compiled by: Claire Breen
Date of upload: 9 December 2011
A mass-rock used during the Penal Times for clandestine Catholic worship; such sites were often associated with local saints and secret religious practices. No specific saint or cure is linked to this site, but it reflects the broader tradition of resistance and devotion in Ireland's Catholic communities.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
