What is recorded here

Circular graveyard situated on top of hillock. The church, no longer visible, was one of the eight chapels of the Priory of St John at Ardee until the dissolution of the monasteries. (CLAJ 1911, 358; CLAJ 1943, 210) The above description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991).
