What is recorded here

Marked as a circular wooded enclosure (diam. c. 40m) bisected by an E-W lane on the 1840 and 1926 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle E-facing slope. Circular scrub-covered area (diam. 43m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1m) with external stone-revetting. There is no visible entrance or original fosse. It is bisected by a NW-SE roadway, and planted with deciduous trees. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
