Known as 'Toberdoney' (Stubbs 1911, 359). Described as 'a stone-lined, deep semi-circular' well when inspected by ASI in 1967.

Linked to Saint Doney, the well was traditionally visited for healing, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin. Local folklore suggests that the water was most potent when taken on the feast day of the saint.
