Fairy forts are misnamed; they are human ringforts where ordinary people lived, worked and were buried. In Rathdaniel a circular enclosure sits on the spine of a west-east spur, its broad eastern gap facing the down-slope world. Anthony Murphy first reported the place, and the field above still holds the shape of a door kept open for people, carts, weather and time.

Located on the spine of a W-E spur, towards the top. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) defined by a single fosse (Wth c. 3-4m) is only visible on Google Earth (16/03/2021; 21/07/2021). There is a wide opening (Wth c. 15m) on the down-slope side at E. It was first reported by Anthony Murphy.
