No visible surface trace of site described by Ó Danachair (1955, 211) as 'a small well in a little grove of whitethorn ... where rounds are still made, especially in may'. It was dedicated to St Ita (ibid.). Well was at side of public road but there is now no indication of its precise location. Dedicated to St Ita, the holy well in Caherlevoy was associated with springtime rituals, particularly in May, when rounds were made around the site. St Ita, a 5th-century Irish saint known for her piety and connection to Killeedy in County Limerick, is often linked to wells and healing traditions in the Burren region.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
