Church in Cloghvoula

Within burial ground (14080). Bowman (1934, 441) recorded church site and burial ground (14080) on M. Fitzgerald's farm. No visible surface trace of church. He (ibid.) also noted that 'stepping stones near Poll a Theampaill gave access to a path (L 480 yds) which terminated at the church site.' The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
