On S side of early 20th-century roadway, built in shallow depression. Random-rubble sandstone construction, retains earthen core. Front elevation (H 4.5m) faces S, widened to present width of 7.2m; bluntly pointed segmental-arched recess (H 1.93m; Wth 1.85m; D 2m), corbelled to rear. Overgrown stone-faced earthen ramp to rear (L 16.5m). Kiln built in 1948 by Mr Fitzgerald and used for short period.
