What is recorded here

Situated in a low-lying position in an undulating landscape. According to local tradition, the site of an ancient church and associated graveyard (MO034-016002-), neither of which are indicated on any ed. of the OS 6-inch maps, was in Killerk on the N side of an E-W road and bones had been found there. There is no reference to it from Killark school in the Schools’ Manuscripts from the 1930s, for which see this web-page accessed on 15/06/2017: http://www.duchas.ie/en/cbes/4723809 If it exists its precise location cannot be identified.

From the National Monuments Service (Archaeological Survey of Ireland) record MO034-016002
