Enclosure in Dangansallagh

Situated in gently undulating terrain, in fairly wet, reclaimed pasture. A river flows c. 20m to the E of the site on fairly level ground. Marked as a circular enclosure with trees in the interior, possibly a tree-ring, on the 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map. Site clearly visible as a raised circular area (diam. 30m N-S; 29.8m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.46m) and a narrow, shallow fosse (Wth 2.2m; D 0.14m).
