Weir set perpendicular in River Dodder, c. 1875. Approximately fifteen metres long set in four main stages from weir pool down to river, with an approximate drop of ten metres. Most stages built of concrete with large included pebbles.

This weir provides a dynamic aspect to the river readily observed from the bridge and playing fields. As little else remains in this area relating to the former mills and lades, the weir is a strong reminder of the former scale of works.
