Dressed stone stepped weir, built c. 1800, on Blarney River.
One of a group of interesting structures associated with Monard and Coolowen Ironworks. Weir powered now derelict mill, part of spade and shovel manufacturing enterprise established by Abraham Beale in the late eighteenth century. Closed late as 1960. Interesting feature in landscape.
