Cast-iron water pump, erected c.1850, comprising fluted cylindrical shaft, cow's tail pumping arm, plain spout and fluted upper section. Cap missing. Now disused.
Sited at the junction of two roads, this water pump was erected to provide fresh water to the community. As such it was both technically and socially important. Today it stands as an attractive element of street furniture and is part of the cultural heritage of Leitrim town.
