Canal in Leitrim town has had its eastern quay altered while the western end keeps its original look. They're like brothers after one comes into money: one has had work done, and the other intends to mention it at every funeral.

While the eastern side of the quay has been altered, the western end retains its original form and character. The quay walls are of architectural and technical merit. The canal is an important feature of Leitrim Town.
