Tobermacduagh, Corker

Some 50m to the S of a possible rath (GA114-057001-). Known locally as the birthplace of St Colman, this spring well is enclosed by a well-preserved ornate octagonal concrete well house which was built in 1912. The entrance is at N. A cross which was erected in 1901 lies immediately to its W. It marks the spot where St Colman was born and where subsequently his mother St Rioneach was buried. A pattern is held here on October 20th each year. A ruined building (GA114-057005-) lies c. 90m to the WNW.
