Detached gable-fronted two-bay single-storey store over basement, built 1896, abutted by enclosing wall (north-east). Pitched slate roof with dressed granite and brick coping and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rubble stone walls with dressed granite quoins. Square-headed openings with six-over-six timber sliding sash windows and replacement timber casement window (east), all having red brick block-and-start surrounds and red brick voussoirs. Square-headed door openings with single and double-leaf replacement timber battened doors, red brick block-and-start surrounds and red brick relieving arches. Camber-headed opening to enclosing wall with replacement timber battened door. Rubble stone quays to the rear (west) and side (north).
This store, constructed as part of a complex established during the building works on Fastnet Lighthouse, retains its original form and character. Though a functional building, it is thoughtfully designed and detailed.
