Single-arch road bridge spanning depression, built c.1830. Random coursed rubble stone construction with round-headed arch and decorative voussoirs and keystone. Parapet, granite coping and piers with pointed coping.

This bridge provides access to Crookhaven Lighthouse and its associated buildings and quays. It displays skilled craftsmanship, finely executed stone work and attention to detail, obvious in the voussoirs and copings. As well as being an essential modern transport link, it provides an insight into early nineteenth century bridge building in rural Ireland.
