Semi-detached two-bay two-storey former lighthouse worker’s house, built 1896, now in use as private house. Recent lean-to extension (west). Pitched slate roof with shared rendered chimneystacks, solar panels and replacement metal rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls with plinth. Square-headed openings with stone sills and replacement uPVC sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening with replacement timber glazed door and overlight. Flight of rubble stone and dressed granite steps to rear.

This worker’s house, constructed as part of a complex established for building works on Fastnet Lighthouse, retains its original form and character. It is an essential component of the Rock Island Point complex with a simple yet elegant plan and style. It makes a positive architectural contribution to Rock Island and is a physical reminder of the extensive works involved in the construction of Fastnet Lighthouse.
