What is recorded here
Freestanding cast-iron lamp standard, erected c.1900. Now disused. Comprises pedestal, manufacturer’s mark, banded fluted shaft, double lamp supports and finial. Located close to former lighthouse keeper's houses.
A group of four remaining lamp standards manufactured by Stears of London and erected around Crookhaven Lighthouse. Despite considerable loss and damage, each lamp serves as an example of artistically designed and mass produced cast-iron ware. They form an attractive focal point for the complex and are visual reminders of the services put in place to ensure safety around the lighthouse.
