What is recorded here

In the interior of rath (RO045-130001-), and just 6m S of the mound of castle (RO045-130002-). This is a limestone upright (dims 1m WNW-ESE; 0.5m NNE-SSW; H 0.88m) which has been damaged on top. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

Probably dating to the Bronze Age, this standing stone may have had ritual or territorial significance, possibly linked to the nearby rath. Its placement near a mound suggests a connection to later medieval structures, though its original prehistoric use remains unclear.
