St. Dermots Well

Possible ecclesiastical enclosure (WM005-008002-) immediately to NE, Rathaspic church (WM005-008----) and graveyard (WM005-008001-) 200m to ENE, Rathaspic Castle (WM005-009----) 250m E. In the late 1930s the following folklore about St. Dermot's Well was recorded; 'There is another well in Rathaspic called St Dermot's well. There is a slab beside the well and written on it is St Dermots. There are certain cures in it' (The Schools’ Collection, Volume 0740, Page 222). Spring well venerated as 'St. Dermot's Well' located beside public road with modern prayer shelter built beside stream flowing out of S side of well.
