Terraced two-bay two-storey house with dormer attic, c.1890, retaining original aspect with single-bay two-storey canted bay window to right. One of a pair. Pitched (shared) slate roof (gabled to dormer attic window) with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, timber bargeboards, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with stone sills to ground floor, rendered sill course to first floor, and 1/1 timber sash windows. Round-headed door opening with rendered pilaster doorcase having keystone, frieze, entablature over, timber panelled door, and overlight. Set back from line of road with painted rendered boundary wall to forecourt having iron railings over, cast-iron colonette piers, and iron gate.

A well-proportioned house that is representative of a component of late nineteenth-century middle-size domestic architecture, incorporating features typical of the period, including canted bay windows, and fine render detailing, which enhance the architectural design quality of the composition. Well maintained, the house retains its original form and massing, together with most of the early fabric, which contributes to the historic appeal of the composition. The house, together with the second in the pair (22830099/WD-09-30-99), forms a pleasing component of the streetscape.
