What is recorded here

Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, c.1930, with raised 'P&T' monogram in Gaelic script. Set into pebble-dashed wall.
An attractive, if subtle, feature in the streetscape of Ballytruckle Road. The raised elements enhance the artistic design distinction of the piece, while the Gaelic script attests to the promotion of a national identity upon the establishment of the independent State.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
