Saint John's Catholic Church in Ballycarroll puts its bell above the grand central entrance and gives the sacristy two storeys. A fine arrangement: the bell gets to announce everything, while the sacristy has an upstairs to retreat to when it's had enough.
Detached Catholic church, built 1835, on a T-shaped plan with pedimented central breakfront having bellcote over and two-storey sacristy projection to east. Renovated, 1907.
