What is recorded here

Situated on a steep S-facing slope on the N side of the NE-SW upper Araglin valley. An area of c. 2ha is occupied by at least nine rectangular, stone-walled houses of one to three rooms (ext. dims. 6m x 3m to 14.35m x 3.65m) and three pens probably for cattle or sheep. All the houses are aligned N-S across the contours of the slope. This is a small single-room structure (int. dims. c. 4m N-S; 1.75m E-W) defined by a stone spread. A D-shaped enclosure (int. dims. 9m N-S; 6.5m E-W) is attached to the W. It is associated with the field system (WA014-041----). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 2 December 2010
