Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, c.1930, with P&T emblem in relief, set into rubble stone boundary wall.
This cast-iron post box, which is still in use, is an attractive item of street furniture and represents a notable example of the high quality of mass-produced cast-iron work. The raised Gaelic script lettering was used by government for many official purposes in the early decades of the state.
