Wall-mounted carved bas relief plaque, erected c. 1950, depicting woman with basket of cotton, lengths of fabric and industrial machinery. Set above entrance to former textile factory.
A fine plaque by Cork sculptor Seamus Murphy, which depicts the transformation of cotton to cloth. This plaque, the plaque on the adjacent Seafield Fabrics factory (see 20823291), and the grotto at the top of South Abbey (see 20823292), all form part of a group of fine Murphy carvings.
