What is recorded here
Terraced four-bay two-storey commercial building, built c.1900. Pitched slate roof hidden behind parapet with rendered chimneystacks. Rendered walls with string course at sill level to first floor, and with channelled door surround to ground floor. Rendered architraves to window openings on first floor. Pair of timber panelled doors with cast-iron overlights to terminating bays.
The regular form of this building is enlivened by the render detailing, such as the render architraves, channelled door surrounds and string course, which articulate the form of the building. The cast-iron toplights are interesting features.
