Freestanding single-bay three-stage mausoleum tower, dated 1824, on a square plan. Part creeper- or ivy-covered obelisk "spire" with lichen-spotted rusticated cut-granite quoins to corners. Part creeper- or ivy-covered roughcast walls with rusticated cut-granite quoins to corners centred on inscribed cut-limestone panel ("1824"). Square-headed door opening below defaced cut-limestone panel ("----") with cut-granite block-and-start surround framing mass concrete infill. Set in landscaped grounds.

An eye-catching mausoleum tower erected by Francis Robert Leigh MP (1758-1839) of Rosegarland House (see 15704040) representing an important component of the early nineteenth-century built heritage of south County Wexford with the architectural value of the composition, one abutting the medieval Ballylannan Church [SMR WX045-013001-], suggested by such attributes as the compact square plan form; the silver-grey granite dressings demonstrating good quality workmanship; and the obelisk "spire" roofline.
