What is recorded here

In pasture, near top of hill. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure on 1842, 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps; external fosse hachured on 1938 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; circular area (diam. c. 44m) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.1m) surviving in field boundary system NNE->ENE; as low rise to E and from W->NNE. Bowman (1934, 554) recorded site as levelled. Possible Man-made underground passage (CO041-180---) in interior.
