What is recorded here

Lissanargid is a levelled fairy fort near the top of a Cork hill, its forty-four-metre circle reduced to a low rise and field boundary. A hidden underground passage may still cut through the interior, waiting for someone brave enough to find the entrance. The fairies did not leave so much as they waited for people to stop seeing the shape.

Levelled; circular area (diam. c. 44m) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.1m) surviving in field boundary system NNE->ENE; as low rise to E and from W->NNE. Bowman (1934, 554) recorded site as levelled. Possible Man-made underground passage (CO041-180---) in interior.
