What is recorded here
Located on top of a knoll, in rolling pasture dotted with small drumlin-like knolls.
Named ‘Knockmore’ on the 1838 and 1922 OS 6-inch maps, and shown on the 1922 edition as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 10m). It appears to have been located on the top of a large knoll with a flattish top (c. 16-18m E-W; 10-12m N-S), but no trace of an enclosure is now evident.
A similar enclosure (MA015-040----) is located 80m to NW.
