Kilomeel is a circular burial ground in County Carlow where local tradition claims bones still sleep beneath the raised earth. It sits about 350 metres northwest of a holy well, linking death and water in the same landscape. The site appeared on maps as a distinct circular area surrounded by a bank, marking it as a place set apart for the dead long before modern records existed.

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Shown on 1839 'OS 6-inch' map as circular area surrounded by bank and on 1939 OS 6" map as approximately circular raised area. O'Toole (JKAS 1933, 270) refers to local tradition of bones buried at site. About 350m NW of holy well (CW013-001----).

A portal dolmen; likely dating to the Early Neolithic period. Its significance lies in representing an early form of megalithic monument associated with burial and ritual practices in Ireland.
