Freestanding limekiln, built c.1820, now disused. Coursed roughly dressed limestone walls with dressed voussoirs to segmental-arched opening. Located to roadside.

A fine example of a nineteenth-century limekiln that serves as a physical reminder of the industrial history of the Coolaniddane district. Limestone was once burnt on a small scale throughout the country to create lime, a much utilised commodity in the past which could be used for a variety of purposes, including as an agricultural fertiliser and in the making of lime mortar.
