What is recorded here

Killeen, or Cillín, is a children's burial ground in Cappanahannagh Townland, County Limerick, measured at thirty feet across in 1838. It sits within a green field, small enough to circle in minutes yet heavy with the lives of infants who never grew old. The name itself marks the tragedy: a place set apart for the youngest dead, where even grief was made compact.
In 1838 the Ordnance Survey Letters for Abington parish recorded the following details; 'Killeen, in Irish Cillín, a burial place for children is situated in the west part of Cappanahannagh Townland within a green field, and measures about thirty feet [10m] in diameter' (OSL, 126).
