The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Foundations of a rectangular building (LH004-006001-) of roughly coursed limestone and greywacke (ext. dims. c. 10.1m by c. 6.7m), the remains of which have been repaired and repointed. No architectural features remain, but the use of large limestone blocks in the S wall might suggest an early rather than a late medieval date. A quernstone (LH004-006003-) and bullaun (LH004-006004-) were recorded from the graveyard (LH004-006002-) in 1964 (CLAJ 1964, 349-501, pls 1 and 2) but are no longer visible. A small roughly dressed sandstone slab (LH004-006005-) is to be found W of the church. It has a simple incised Latin cross with T-shaped terminals on its arms and a double circle around the junction of the cross. (PRIA 61C, 118,121)
