What is recorded here

In pasture, on W-facing hill slope. Circular area (diam. 29m) enclosed by stone bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 0.9m). Bank best preserved SW->NE where dry-stone field wall (H 0.9m) runs along outer edge; bank denuded by cattle at ENE. Interior, under pasture, rises up gently towards centre. Field walls abut external bank face at SW and NE; another which abutted it at W has been removed since it was depicted on 1923 OS 6-inch map.

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
