What is recorded here
Gateway, c.1850, comprising pair of rusticated granite ashlar piers with moulded cornices and capping, wrought iron double gates with finials, and sections of random rubble stone flanking boundary walls to perimeter of site having rubble stone vertical coping.
An elegant gateway incorporating fine stone work to the piers, together with early-surviving wrought iron gates, which enhance the design quality of the composition. The gateway, together with the attendant gate lodge (22901709/WD-17-09), forms an appealing feature in the landscape.
