Fairy forts are often called a trick of human imagination, but this is a real earthen ringfort in Ballybricken West. Its oval bank rises beside pasture, partially hidden by scrub, with a possible underground passage at the southwest edge. The name suggests people once believed the place belonged to unseen neighbours, yet the shape and size record human craft. It stands as a boundary between memory and invention, ordinary enough to walk past and strange enough to stop someone listening.

In gently undulating pasture, on top of low rise. Oval area (c. 30m NNW-SSE; c. 24m WSW-ENE) enclosed by earthen bank (Wth 5.85m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m). Enclosing element and much of interior covered by dense scrub overgrowth except SW quadrant where a possible Man-made underground passage (LI023-302----) is located.
