Enclosure in Coomclogh

In rough hill grazing, on a terrace on the S-facing slopes of the Shehy Mountains. A level circular area (9m N-S; 8.5m E-W) is defined by the remains of a stone wall which protrudes above the surface of the bog. The wall displays traces of a double row of contiguous upright slabs (T 1m; H 0.5m). Three hut sites (CO092-075003-, CO092-075004-, CO092-075005-) abut the interior of the enclosing element along the W arc. This enclosure lies within a complex of field boundaries (CO092-075001-).
