Field boundary in Coomclogh

In rough hill grazing, on a terrace on the S-facing slopes of the Shehy Mountains. A network of both linear and curvilinear, relict, stone field boundaries (T 0.5m; max. H 0.6m) occur in a roughly rectangular area (c. 150m E-W; c 110m N-S). The boundaries protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog and consist mainly of a mixture of upright, leaning and fallen slab-type stones. An enclosure (CO092-075002-) and six hut sites (CO092-075003-, CO092-075004-, CO092-075005-, CO092-075006-, CO092-075007-, CO092-075008-) occur within the field boundary network.
