Embanked enclosure

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

On a gentle W-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (int. dims 29m NE-SW; c. 25m NW-SE) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (at SW: Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m) which is obscured by field stones N-SE, but the original wall (Wth 2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.7m) is visible at NE. There is no visible entrance, but Man-made underground passage (RO008C026002-) is W of the centre. The remnants of an ENE-WSW field wall overlie the perimeter at S, and two grass-covered stone spreads (Wth 0.8m; H 0.4m) radiate N (L 15m) and E (L 12m) from the centre to the perimeter.
