What is recorded here

There is a tradition of a monastic site and cemetery at mouth of stream where it debouches into Capragh Lough. (ITA Survey 1940; Leslie 1929, 289). No remains are visible and the precise location is not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
