Ecclesiastical enclosure in Rathconnell is a possible early-medieval ringfort or rath, later adapted as a churchyard, with the medieval church ruins at its center. The site reflects a transition from pre-Christian to Christian use, and local tradition may associate it with both fairy lore and ecclesiastical history.
