In slightly undulating pasture, with good views from SE-SW. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a D-shaped area defined by a scarp with fosse and external bank. Surveyed in 1999 and described as a raised sub-circular shaped area (dims. 24m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by a scarp (Wth 1m; D 0.45m) with fosse (Wth at base 3m), bank (overall Wth 4m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.2m) and external fosse (base Wth 1m; ext. D 0.2m; ext. Wth 1.5m). Interior level, dry and clear of overgrowth. Field drain truncates the site at N. Monument clearly visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
