What is recorded here
Dundalk Famine Graveyard holds nameless famine deaths in Kileally, opened in 1850 when the workhouse graveyard filled. Thomas Fortesque bought the acre for twenty pounds, and white crosses still mark some graves without headstones to read. The annual remembrance service returns each August, calling the dead back into witness instead of letting them disappear into soil and silence.
Dundalk Famine Graveyard is a graveyard in County Louth, Ireland.
